Dr. Mirit Sharabi leads the Bio-Inspired and Complex Materials Mechanics (BCMM) Lab at Ariel University, Israel, where she also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and completed her postdoctoral research at the Weizmann Institute of Science, in the Department of Materials and Interfaces.

Her research explores the structure–function relationships in natural and synthetic soft materials, integrating biomechanics, biomimetics, and advanced material design to develop next-generation bio-inspired composites and tissue analogs.
